Description
OPTIMIK creates cutting plans only for rectangular and square parts. Thus, a part that has one or more truncated corners is also shown in the plan as a rectangular or square area. However, with this module you can merge such shaped parts into a common group of parts to achieve further material savings. Such a group will enter the plan as one rectangular/square “group part” and its cutting into specific parts will already be carried out using another saw.
However, OPTIMIK also allows you to create another type of group – parts combined for the coherent grain (e.g. drawer fronts, doors, etc.). You can create such a group for each product even without the help of the Group Editor.
However, the Group Editor will help you if you need to merge parts from several products (e.g. all the upper cabinets of the kitchen unit, etc.) for the purpose of a drawing.
